Job Description
This rural community service requires a General Adult Community Psychiatrist to be a part of their team. In this role, you will not work from just one location but have the variety to work as a travelling Psychiatrist for the community. You can work in a mix of locations exposing you to a large scope of over 410,000 residents who do not usually have access to this type of assessment and treatment.
As a General Adult Community Psychiatrist, part of your role is to perform psychiatric assessments including risk assessments of patients with psychiatric, emotional and behavioral disturbances. You will be guiding the multidisciplinary team in the management of patients with a focus on recovery. You shall also provide professional support, education and training to colleagues, students and other service providers to meet mental health needs of the patients.
