Job Description
A South Island Health District is seeking a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join their team to aid in providing a wide range of Psychiatric services to its large community base. With over 400,000 people in the region, you will be able to greatly help the community’s youth by working within multiple facilities in the region. As one of the large heath districts in New Zealand, you will be backed by a large team of health professionals to ensure you are able to complete your work with as much ease as possible.
As a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist for this region you will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for children, young people and their families in a comprehensive manner. Working in this multidisciplinary context, your team is committed to the awareness and prevention of mental health issues within the community and to ensure that if a patient is in need, that there is service that can assist them. You may have junior medical staff who work within the district and your team which gives you the opportunity to assist and supervise their training to ensure they receive a well rounded and comprehensive training schedule.
