Job Description
The largest provider of mental health services on the South Island in New Zealand is seeking a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join their team. With a district population of over 400,000 people, there is a growing need for more Psychiatrists to join the team and ensure that each individual that requires your assistance has access to this. Working across various facilities in the region, there is the flexibility and variety that will keep your working day exciting and varied.
As a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist for this district you will be joining a team who is already strongly committed to ensuring that mental health awareness is strong for the community and that the citizens are receiving a high quality of care for the psychiatry departments across the district. Be involved in the districts history as the team makes changes to the way mental health conditions are treated within the local mental health system. From assessment to diagnosis and treatment, you will be involved in each step through a patient’s treatment while also supervising and training junior medical staff who are also part of the department.
