Working as a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist on the North Island, your purpose is to provide a specialist service with the multidisciplinary team for clients under the care of the eating disorder service. This includes involvement in acute and planned assessments and admissions with the ongoing care and treatment of children and adolescents with moderate to severe eating disorders. Providing assistance not only to the children but also to the family is crucial to ensure all parties understand the situation and severity and provide support to each other where needed.
